“Equality, Freedom, Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” are well-known words from the US Declaration of Independence. They are unalienable rights which the Founders said have been given to all humans by their Creator, and which governments are “created” to protect. The US is a democratic capitalist political-economic system or, a capitalist democracy, where a market-based economy is supposed to thrive under a democratic framework. Democratic Socio Capitalism (DSC for short) may sound oxymoronic and, is somewhat different in its “creation” than capitalistic democracy. As you explore this site you will learn how we could use the creative ideas presented here to modify our current system of governance to transform our societies into peaceful productive communities.
Before you embark on your journey of understanding DSC, we invite you to read the blog post “Hello World” (click to be redirected).
What is DSC?
Elements of DSC
Transformation to DSC
Moving from Capitalism to DSC is extremely challenging
Transparency In Lobbying
Lobbying purpose, fees and ultimate beneficiary to be disclosed
SCOTUS No Longer Supreme
When Supreme Court rulings are biased, it loses it Supremacy
“Laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths disclosed, and manners and opinions change with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also, and keep pace with the times…”
-Thomas Jefferson
While the above narratives introduced the concept of DSC (Democratic Socio Capitalism), and its use as a method to fix issues such as lobbying and supreme court nominations and reform, there are still several issues that need to be remedied in the systems of governance and day-to-day functioning of organizations at the federal and state levels. Some of the more important and pressing issues for our democracy are: setting up non-partisan national elections board to administer federal and state elections; election of the president; doing away with filibusters; and, secret ballot on all bills in the house and senate. We shall examine these four issues next.

”The liberty of a democracy is not safe if people tolerated growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. This in its essence is fascism.”
– Franklin D. Roosevelt
National Elections Board
A federal-state independent regulatory elections board
Electing The President
No electoral college, election of POTUS needs to be direct.
No More Filibusters
Filibustering as a tool to stymie progress needs to be abolished.
Secret Ballot – House & Senate
“We the people” vote by secret ballot. Why not senators and house members?
No Redistricting, No Gerrymandering
Redistricting may never be needed if we follow a simple non-partisan method.
